Our medical frontliners fight for us so we fight for them. No one has to deal with fighting this virus alone.
I am a recovering cancer patient and because I am still part of the vulnerable group, I had wanted to buy surgical masks for my daily protection. With no supply in Manila, I was forced to look for suppliers abroad. Fortunately, I came across a kind supplier who willingly sold to me at minimal quantity.
Now I find a greater purpose. I hope to raise funds to buy for masks for our medical frontliners who risk their lives and those of their families with every patient encounter. More and more of them are now being quarantined due to exposures and lack of proper gear. Some may say that the masks can do little to protect them, but if they lack even the simplest of gear, how can they help more of us? Let’s support and thank them with this gift.
My co-parents and sisters-at-heart are helping me launch this campaign. We are initially targeting 10,000 pieces of masks and with your generosity, we hope to buy more. We are donating these masks to government hospitals who may be out of masks now.
Admittedly, the masks are now priced higher at around P13-P15 each but we will endeavor to find cheaper and reliable sources. We are also open to partnering with freight forwarders for the speediest delivery of these masks.
We will account every centavo that you will share and we are optimistic that with your kind hearts, we will reach our target. Thank you and God bless us all.
