Bibliyoteka Building Fund

Good day! My name is PJ Ron Fortaleza. I am the Pastor of Marikina Christian Fellowship - Olandes in Sitio Olandes, Brgy. Industrial Valley Complex, Marikina City Philippines (Olandes is an urban poor community in Marikina City). Our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Bibliyoteka is the name of buidling where Marikina Chrisitan Fellowship - Olandes gather as it's worship and fellowship place. It was designed to be a community library for the the community here in Olandes but during the weekends, we setup the place so that we could gather as a church there.

MCF-Olandes has grown numerically over the past few years. In our worship services, all our seats or mostly if not fully occupied. In our youth gathering, there are times where young people would not be able enter the hall because it's really full. Also, in our Kids' Sunday School, voices of teachers and classes would overlap each other. We are in place, where we really need to have an improvement in our facility so that we could accommodate more people in our gatherings.

This is what the campaign is about. We are dreaming of fully redesigning Bibliyoteka so that it could be a Student & Study Center, as well to have a hall for gatherings such as worship & fellowship and other group activities. We are raising Php3.5 million so that we could renovate Bibliyoteka. Here are some particulars of where the proceeds will go:

1. Ground floor would be a Student & Study Center equipped with the following:
   
   1. Tables & Chairs
   2. Shelves with Books
   3. At least 2 PCs with Internet Access
   4. A Printer
   5. A Bathroom/Comfort room
   6. A pantry/kitchen
2. 2nd floor would be a hall (for worship gathering, meetings and other functions) which would seat 70-80 people equipped with the following:
   1. A good quality sound system (speakers, mics, mixer, etc.)
   2. An LCD projector or a large TV
   3. Musical Instruments and Amplifiers
   4. Airconditioning
   5. 80+ chairs
3. 3rd floor would be a multi-purpose space for various activities.

Our dream for Bibliyoteka is for it to become a place where we could serve God by having an environment where people could have a ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ in a gathering where people could feel they truly belong; and serve the community by creating an place where students can have a more conducive place to study--of which for most of them and their families, having an education is their next best hope for having a better life in the future.
