Maria is going to NYU!

My name is Maria and I’m a 27 years old music teacher in Costa Rica.

I’ve been accepted in the Kodaly Summer Program at NYU, from July 2nd-July 20.

One of my dreams is to change Music Education programs here through Choral music. I learnt with online books and some articles about the Kodaly Method and I felt in love with this approach of how to learn music through folk music. I learnt that this method not only help kids to learn music but to approach themselves to their heritage.

I’m not prepared financially to take over this challenge and that’s why I’m asking for some help to get to my goal. Between tuition, housing expenses and airline ticket I need $4500.
