Baby Isla Grace Carlisle Garcia was born prematurely at 29 weeks. She

stayed a total of 101 days at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit due to

bouts of pneumonia. To help address repeated bouts of pneumonia, she had

gastrostomy and fundiplication in February. She is already diagnosed

with Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BDP), a disease common to premature

infants especially those who had been under mechanical ventilator for a

long time. BDP has made our little girl a frequent guest at the

hospital.

Baby Isla Grace birth story is one of a fighter. She

was born only weighing 800 grams and was revived for 15 minutes. She

continued to be a fighter even as she turns one on September 13.

Baby

Isla Grace is such a joy to her family. We have created this page for

her since as an infant with BDP she will be requiring intensive medical

care. The family has already spent almost $40,000.00 for her medical

bills.
