MALAYA: Beaded Jewelry Startup Business

I am Joanna Yap, a 26-year old lady from The Philippines. I'm creating this fundraising campaign to help me create a new life and a new beginning.

I have been employed for 5 years now and until now, I am not fully happy with my job. I've tried different fields and industries, but I know that I've been half-hearted on the things I do at work. But I need a job - like everyone else. I need something that would help me and my mom survive our daily lives. My mom - she did everything for me single-handedly. I am grateful. All our efforts of having a stable job that would help us earn and save at the same time isn't working at the fullest. Rents, bills, debt, etc. Now, I'm stuck in a job that's consuming me and my passion to live life to the fullest. Supposedly, I should be working from 9-6PM, 5 days a week, but that's not what is going on right now. Working at 8am, going home at 10pm, and still be working until 2-3AM - that's my almost every day life. And yes, I sometimes work over the weekend. No overtime pay. The workload is something I can brush off, but I regret the time that I could've spent with my loved ones and friends. The time that I should've spent learning more and achieving things more than pleasing the people around me. It's consuming the hours that I should be with my family physically, emotionally and mentally. That's why I decided to reignite my passion on art and crafts. As a breather, also hopefully with your help, as a financial support to me and my family.

The love for fashion has always been my gem. I realized with my love for fashion, there's a chance that I could be earning extra and be happy at the same time. And I need your help on achieving that. I need your help and support on this Passion Project I have been wanting to do. I'm raising worth $300.00 to help start off my business. To help me buy the things I will be needing to produce beautifully hand-crafted beaded jewelries that I can start online.

MALAYA. Filipino word for FREE. I want to name my brand "Malaya" because it symbolizes my freedom from the robotic world I'm in. I believe in "Malaya", I believe that it will go so far and free me from this troubled world. And I'm really wishing that you could help me.
