MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN NANAY ERLIE AND HER DAUGHTER’S LIFE

There is no better way to celebrate Outgive's 7th anniversary this month of July than doing what we do best and that's outgiving. We have decided to give back to a very special family that has been brought to our attention that is in need of our help.

This is Nanay Erlie's story.

Nanay Erlie who is from Malaban, Biñan, Laguna is a 74 year old mother who takes care of her daughter who had a stroke and bedridden. It's only her and her daughter in her small home and have to ask from neighbors some coins or even trash that she can sell as recyclables for her to buy food and medicines. Our team member, Rowena Almarinez, saw her on Facebook asking for help to provide diapers for her daughter and for some groceries. Nanay Erlie is too old and weak to even take care of her bedridden daughter. We admire how positive is her outlook in life and it's heartbreaking to see her suffering.Nanay Erlie's daughter is Lourdes Francisco. According to their neighbor, Lourdes fell before which broke her hips, and can't walk anymore. She suffered from Stroke and needs medication for her Diabetes and high cholesterol. She also needs adult diapers as she can't stand anymore and only her mother Nanay Erlie that helps her with her everyday needs.

No matter what and how much we give, it can positively impact Nanay Erlie and her daughter's life than we can ever imagine and comprehend. With all our help combined, it could result in a week’s worth of meals for their starving stomach, much-needed medical attention, and many more.

If you think about it, none of us actually had a say in who we were to be born as. We didn’t get to choose our own destiny, but one thing is certain, we can all do something to help make someone else’s life just a little bit better.
