Maesey’s Medical Fund for Second Operation

Please help Maesey as she needs to undergo another operation to remove a bigger cyst on her neck. Three doctors (1 ENT and 2 neurosurgeons) will perform the operation on April 22 (Monday) at the PGH in Manila. The family will be needing an estimated P400,000 for the operation (excluding the room and boarding at PGH and the series of lab tests before the operation).

A brief background

In 2017, Maesey underwent an operation to remove a cyst on her neck. The doctor diagnosed it as schwannoma -- a tumor of the tissue that covers the nerves. The operation was a success! However, after roughly a year, may nakapa ulit siyang bukol around the same area where the first was removed. It turns out, there is a bigger cyst underneath -- which the doctor described na "parang nanay" nung unang bukol.

The cyst grew, and right now, it already covers some blood vessels around her spine which makes the operation more urgent and complex. The doctors said they may not be able to extract some parts of the tumor (kasi pag natamaan yung blood vessels along the way, it might result in stroke of the patient).

So after the operation on April 22, Maesey will also undergo a series of radiation treatments to hopefully completely have the bigger cyst removed.

Tulungan po natin si Maesey to pay for the medical expenses, as she is also nursing a five-month old baby girl. The family only has an estimated P150,000 budget for the operation -- which is still far from the doctors' estimated amount for the entire operation.
