A friend I have know for a long time is an inspirational man doing an absolutely amazing Ministry in the border of Burma and Thailand. I am in awe of what he is doing. He left his beautiful family, stable life and ofcourse left his own country to do what he loves doing. He works amongst refugees, and sweats to give the best to these young people who are so driven to learn english and to receive education. I could go on and on about what he does, but I'd rather you have a look at his website ( He loves to stand behind and work without being noticed, however I struggled to display his work a bit) www.christforthailand.wordpress.com
Simultaneously, I am also raising fund for a Highlander School in Spiti, Himachal Pradesh, India. There are two schools in Spiti and due to the distance, children as young as 3 years old stay in a boarding home to attend school. What intrigued me most was to meet teachers who are passionately managing it. They have travelled miles to educate these children.
Previously the plan was to trek the Great Wall of China and we have raised a total of 345 GBP.
I am attempting Stok Kangri summit June and the trek is dedicated to Highlander School. In the fall, I will take the challenge and trek the Mount Everest Base Camp ( 12 - 14 days trekking) in the fall of 2017 to raise funds to contribute towards Luther's Ministry. We have also decided to focus on Eco friendly trekking as to raise awareness for Sustainable Earth. Every penny you give counts. No set amounts, so just give whatever you can. Your donation will not be used for our travelling expenses, because every single penny we raise will go towards the Ministry and the School. These people live by faith and we take the same leap of faith to do the trekking and raise enough money to support them.
p.s. If anyone wants to join with us for trekking, you are most welcome....Shalom!
