Love and Hope for Premature Baby DJ

Baby Daniel Jesse (Baby DJ), barely 6 months inside her mom's tummy was rushed to the nearest hospital December 06, 2013 because his mom was then bleeding and was diagnosed of preterm labor. Baby DJ's mom was advised to stay in the hospital for close monitoring. Labor progressed despite the interventions provided at the hospital and Baby DJ, barely weighing half kilogram (0.5 kg) was born December 16, 2013 at 4:45 P.M.

Upon delivery, Baby DJ was admitted to NICU and was placed inside the incubator.  With the complications of premature baby, Baby DJ is still admitted to the hospital up to this time. His family is   anxiously waiting for his desired weight gain to be achieved and for Baby DJ to have a good sign of feeding so his family can bring him home. 

What is pressing Baby DJ's family is the huge sum of hospital bills to settle. As of this writing, baby DJ is now on his 75th days in the hospital.  His mom, age 21, without any savings and properties, is working as a contractual employee and currently receiving a minimum salary. Baby DJ’s mom has gone to different government institutions after two weeks of delivery asking for help but as of this writing only one agency responded, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Organization (PCSO) who pledged P 40, 000. The hospital bill is now ranging close to Php 300,000.00 not to mention the borrowed money from supportive friends incurred by Baby  DJ’s mom when she was discharged after normal delivery and D& C (roughly Php 50, 000.00).

Baby DJ is fighting for his life in the hospital since they were admitted with his mom last December 06, 2013. Baby DJ deserves all the chance to survive. Let's extend our loving support to Baby DJ and her mom as they go through the battles of financial turmoil.
