Campaign Story
Hi... I am Edward. I had been organizing public Board game meetups for years in Selangor, Malaysia. My primary platform is on meetup.com, (https://www.meetup.com/Board-Game-Chill-Up) ... and I had been doing this on a voluntary basis, believing it as a good alternative to other social activities.
There is a certain satisfaction when you see new players that join your event, slowly becoming good and invested in this hobby, and start complaining about how unoriginal your collection is.
Well, since I store my boardgames in my car (with a cajun bag), it was stolen by some thief breaking open my car window and steal the games I used to do my public hosting, and 70% of my collection is gone... the same 70% games that i been bringing around for years
It might took me a while for me to build up my collection so... I am thinking to do this fundMe campaign so that I can buy some of my games, and use it for hosting.
To be honest...I am writing this while I am sending my car window to repair...and so I might be a bit confused as well. Like it or not, boardgame hosting is part of what I do, almost to a habit, and I am not sure how I have to adjust without this being part of my weekend schedule...
So I am just trying this one out, while at the same time trying to see whether there are some folks that can borrow some games for me to host in meantime.
If you don't know me, I don't think you should donate to this cause. What you are effectively doing is just funding someone's voluntary activity that doesn't make much dent on a grand scale, but if you attended and appreciate the meetups that I had done, and hope this will continue...Maybe a small donation will be welcomed

I don't know you personally nor attend one of the meet ups, but it's a small gesture from a fellow board gamer that admires your passion for the community. Chin up and all the best!
Thank you all
Update posted by Jin Khang Choh at 07:00 amHonestly...I do not expect this much of a response from a short while from you guys... In a way, I am glad that you guys have such a trust on me and willing to help up on my cause. For that, I will redouble my Boardgames events (free or with venue
