Campaign Story
Indonesia Earthquake
On 5 August 2018, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Lombok and Bali in Indonesia. At least 506 people have been killed, with over 7,700 injured and 431,416 people have been displaced. In addition, more than 74,300 houses and 468 schools have been damaged. A number of public facilities such as hospitals, mosques, and health clinics have also been damaged.
This fund will provide relief to people impacted by the earthquake in the form of emergency supplies like food, water, and medicine, in addition to longer-term recovery assistance to help residents. All donations to this fund will exclusively support disaster relief and recovery efforts in Indonesia. All donations to this fund will support recovery and relief efforts for areas in Indonesia affected by the earthquake. Initially, the fund will help first responders meet immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products, and shelter. Once initial relief work is complete, this fund will transition to support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations responding to this disaster.
