Little steps

Hi, my name is Alan and I'm originally from Ghana, Africa. I have realized that too often we are engulfed in our own worlds without observing the needs and suffering of the unfortunate around us. This realization actually occurred during a school trip across the country. I was honestly touched when i realized the number of homeless people who were left outside in the cold to face their own destinies.This really saddened my heart. It broke my heart. I knew i could and should do something about it, why couldn't I? My friends and i therefore decided to begin our journey by setting up a community service group. For starters we adopted a single orphanage where we decided to donate toiletries, clothes, learning materials and funds for the provision of a new shelter. This inspired me to take my passion globally with IVHQ Portugal where i will be helping the needy through the food support program. Through this training program and experience I hope to be more knowledgable and gain something new and fresh which i can bring back to help my own country. However, this cannot be made possible without your help. Remember it's always baby steps that lead to a brighter future.
