Little Help for my brother Rory’s medical treatment

This fundraising is for my brother Rory, for his medical treatment.

Some time in August 2019, my brother Rory had little cough. Over the months, the cough became persistent and started medication, though we doubted the diagnosis. He was regularly checked by different doctors and had x-rays which revealed nothing unusual. Just a regular cough which was prescribed with antibiotics.

Fast forward to December 2019, the cough became severe. He is a non-smoker and no-vices at all, active and fit. Early January this year, the day after we celebrated our parent’s 50TH wedding anniversary, he was rushed to the nearest hospital and was admitted due to difficulty in breathing and he almost passed out. His x-rays showed that his left lung had totally collapsed and his CT-scan revealed a tumor was squeezing his lung and the airway passage was already blocked and closed. We were advised to transfer him to Lung Center of the Philippines for further tests. After bronchoscopy test, biopsy and PETCT scan, he was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. The best treatment as recommended by his oncologist is to undergo immunotherapy because of his pathology report shows high pd-l1 expression of 98% and it only requires >50% to be qualified for such treatment. The doctors says he has a good chance and we as a family are taking this chance.

He underwent his 1st session for Immunotherapy last March 16. There is a 6-cycle sessions prepared for him within the next 4 months. Each cycle costs 315,000 thousand Pesos. Our expenses have been huge since January until now and we are practically financially drained.

We are humbly seeking the help from anyone who reads this for financial donations, equally so, we need your prayers for his fast recovery. My brother Rory has a big battle to face. We are positive that our family can take on this life’s challenge for our brother. Any little helps counts.
