LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 IN NEED IN KAKUMA REFUGEE CAMP IN WEST TURKANA IN KENYA

Hello my friends allover the world. I am a refugee from Kenya and proudly gay. I am currently one of the pillars of support to my fellow lgbt refugees in Kenya. We probably find a lot of challenges as lgbt refugees including food, medication, sanitary for lesbians, safe water clothes and milk for babies .

We are highly discriminated to the extent that we can not have work to do so that we can earn. However, we keepour heads high and we hope to be able to receive the support so that we can get the housing, mosquito nets and etc.

Help support our campaign with even if little. I stay with a number of lgbtiqa folk about 236 of them including about 60 children and the rest elders.

I left my country in 2020 after the attack which involved the death of my boyfriend. We were brutalised and beaten after they found us playing sex and had always suspected. The community wanted to set fire on us and now the police came in, this is when I got chance to run away.

I came to Kenya hopping for safety from UNHCR through Red Cross but unfortunately it not how I hopped it could be. I was brought to Kenya and relocated to the community at kakuma refugee camp where I found my fellow lgbtiqa refugees going through the same torture like me.

We had a collective voice and about 540 lgbtiqa gathered at the compound of unhcr in March 2020 to ask them for protection because we had a lot of insecurities from other non lgbt threatening us to be killed. We never got the help but instead teargassed and brought back to the camp. We still gathered all together and it's here where we need you support.

At this point we struggle with medicine, food, sanitary for lesbians, clothes, milk for babies.

Please I request all my friends from all over the world to make this happen. We can continue asking unhcr to help us though we all know it has a lot of people to help.
