LGBTIQ refugee funding in Kenya

My name is EDDIE WANJIRU, I am from Rwanda and I am with BENNY BWANBALE from Uganda and we live in the

Don Holm area of Nairobi Kenya. We are the leaders of the (LGBTQI+ gay) organization LETS LOVE AND SUPPORT (LGBTIQ IN EASTERN AFRICA)

And we help those from the following countries : DRC Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya where being gay/trans/lesbian/bi/queer is illegal and is punishable by life time imprisonment or the death sentence.

We are inviting you to raise funds and donate to our cause to help our members with their housing and daily needs! We seek to provide LGBT ‘safe houses’ for those fleeing persecution - offering support and life skills training to members. We need to cover rental costs, cooking and food provision, medical, legal and travel expenses as well as clothing, toiletries and basic furnishing such as mattresses and bedding. Many have fled their homes with no means of support - facing destitution and violence on our streets

#Reason : our primary sponsor Rev.D. Austin (UK) helped us for a long time, but he is not able to continue financial support due to retirement. We have 15 members who are facing eviction and homelessness imminently. They are facing social prejudice and are unable to find paid work.

Please call on non-governmental organizations in different countries and LGBTIQ organizations around the world to help us survive because we are committed to supporting the lives of LGBTQI+ people in Eastern Africa.

We are now preparing to receive refugees from Burundi and Uganda who have escaped torture because of the decree of their countries Presidents. We thank you very much for hearing our story and supporting us in whatever way you can. Your generosity is much appreciated.
