Let’s wake up, Mamu!

Last Saturday, our dear Mamu who is 82 years old, met an accident where she fell while trying to climb up the stairs after taking a shower. She hit her head which caused a blood clot on the left side of her brain (Acute Traumatic Subdural Hemorrhage). Luckily, we were able to respond quickly, and take her to the hospital for immediate brain surgery.

The surgery was a success, and the blood clot was removed. A portion of her left skull is left open and will be closed once there is no more swelling. Mamu, however, is still in a coma due to the trauma.

As of now, her vitals are ok, blood pressure, heart rate and all. Her neck brace was removed since there was no spine injury, as well as, the drain tube from her head since there was no more excess blood coming out. She can feel pain and reacts to it. Recent pupil testing shows they are reacting to the light, which is a good sign.

Update as of earlier today 11/08/19, Mamu is still in a coma and is scheduled for another CT scan to check why she is having fevers.

Mamu needs to wake up. Her current GCS (Glasgow Coma Scale) rating is 4. With your love prayers and support we are hoping it would increase to 8+.

We hope to continue Mamu's recovery in the hospital, but the bill seems to be wracking up quite fast so we would need to settle the bills as quick as possible. We appreciate all the help we can get for the recovery of Mamu.
