LET’S THEM WEAR

Tanzania is a country affected by extreme poverty, HIV/AIDS and lack of opportunity. These dire social situations in Tanzania result in an ever-increasing orphan and needy population. Local children need immediate help and support. Even though primary and secondary schools are free in Tanzania. Many children do not have basic necessities to go to school with; uniform, new clothes, books, and sanitary pads these things can make a big difference in their life.

“Lets them wear” work is a small project to share your love, and help poor and needy children as it goes to people who need it the most, with the target to reach at least 200 children as we start. The project is located in Mbeya region which is one of major cities of Tanzania and one of cities with high prevalence of HIV. We have identified a local orphanage centre, street children and children living in poor households that would be benefitting from your donation and put smiles in their face

Here at “lets them wear” are we working with a group of people in our neighborhood to collect lightly used or new supplies for children. Things we you collect include:

• Coats, sweaters, and other cloth
• School supplies
• New shoes
• Textbooks
• And sanitary pads for girls

We were able to get clothes from neighborhood as some of them as seen in the pictures, and raised about 300 USD to buy them schoolbags @10usd, uniforms@15usd, shoes@ 10usd and sanitary pads @10usd. For 200 children we need to raise at least 9000usd

The Impact

This project is necessary because it makes the happiness for families whom unable to buy clothes, uniforms and school shoes for their children and our children can study in comfort.
