Let’s support Ebbe Grace, Our Joyful Missionary in her Medical Surgery Journey

Ebbe Grace Bragais, a musicionary with a heart full of gratitude, serves as a lay missionary for Couples for Christ. Recently, she received a diagnosis of thickening of her stomach wall and pancreatic mass which needs further testing,and is now scheduled for gastric bypass surgery.

Hailing from Calamba, Laguna in the Philippines, Ebbe Grace faces the challenge of limited insurance coverage for medical expenses in her country. Medical costs must be paid upfront and out of pocket, with some hospitals even requiring a deposit before commencing treatment. In Ebbe Grace's case, she will undergo several tests and require a hospital stay of approximately 1 to 2 weeks, depending on her response to medication and further observation.

To assist in meeting the pre-procedural payment requirements and prepare for the ensuing medical bills, friends and family have rallied together. They have pooled their resources, including some of the savings Ebbe Grace had set aside for her late mother's medical needs from the previous year. Her family and loved ones aim to provide financial support for the operation and post-operative medication.

Ebbe Grace is the only sister among four siblings. Although her father is currently living alone, her siblings are by her side, ensuring that even though he may not be able to contribute financially, he offers unwavering moral and spiritual support. Ebbe Grace radiates joy, maintains an attitude of gratitude, and delights in singing praises for the Lord. She is often seen performing with the band during worship sessions or warmly welcoming people to community conferences at the secretariat table. Her inspiring disposition has made her adored within the community.

While everyone is doing their utmost to contribute, resources in the Philippines can quickly deplete, and the situation may become desperate. Before reaching that point, Ebbe Grace requires the support of those who have often been generous givers themselves.
