Let’s help Sim K be OK!

2019 has by far been the toughest year yet for me and my family. On the 1st of January, we had to rush my grandfather, Simeon L. Kintanar, to the hospital due to profuse bleeding. As per the doctors, bleeding was caused by his inflamed prostate. For 8 weeks now, my grandfather's rising number of attending doctors have continuously been trying to get him back in shape. He has been moved from the regular room to the Intensive Care Unit back to the regular room and is now still at the Intermediate Care Unit, with numerous medications and tests administered. He initially went through cystoscopy to check on the prostate and urinary bladder, and remove blood clots. Doctors wanted to work around conservative treatment due to high risk since my grandfather is already 82 years old and has gone through open heart surgery many years back. But a week ago, they have been left with no other choice but to do an open surgery to remove his prostate. Consequently, our hospital bill has bloated greatly and continues to increase daily.

Many may think that no matter what millions of hospital payables we will incur, it shall be a non-issue because my grandfather was a politician. A humble and God-fearing politician, he was. One who only ever earned clean and honest money. My grandfather lived a life of selfless service and continue to live a life of generosity even with the limited resources he has now, and we cannot just allow the lack thereof to be the reason why he could no longer continue living such meaningful life.

Hence, I together with his other grandchildren have decided to start this GoGetFunding page, in the hope of being able to raise as much as we can to help in the still rising hospital payables as the doctors continue to cure our grandpa. We humbly reach out to each and everyone, knocking on your hearts for what little you can spare for our beloved Papa Sim. Together, with your assistance and with lots of prayers, we are positive that we will get through this, and SIM K will be OK!
