Exactly 7 days ago, I've saved enough food supply good for 1 month before the lockdown. I've eaten most of my favorite foods that I will surely miss but while I was on my way home and was resting on my car window, I thought about all the people who would be impacted adversely by this lockdown. These are the people who would be losing their jobs, their primary source of income. Where would they get the P100-150 ($2-3) per day if they are staying in their homes? How about the sick people who are waiting for their payday so they can buy their medicines? How about those who are living in from hand to mouth existence? It's not easy being an empath. Frankly, I shouldn't worry about them because it is their lives but I have sleepless nights lately because I strongly believe that I can do something to help and support them with the little I have. Nobody wants to be in this situation so I can't really blame them if they could not find resources so they could feed their families now.
I've already reached out to several celebrities/politicians to make this project feasible and successful but nowadays, it is not easy to look for these people because of the total lockdown and community quarantine. The good news is, some have already responded including Bela Padilla. I pray that this would reach more people especially those with compassion and kindness. If this would be a success, I believe we can help and support as much as 8,000-10,000 families.
(Estimated budget for 1,500 families)

Canned goods 17 x 5 = 85
Noodles 6 x 10 = 60
Bath soap 12 x 1 = 12
Detergent bar 5 x 5 = 25
Rice 50 x 1 = 50
Total = 232 pesos per family
- Good for 3 days only (realistically)
- Good for 1-2 pax (realistically)
Monthly total = 3480000 (1,500 families only)
PROPOSED DONATION: (Highly recommended)
1/2 kilo meat 50 x 1 = 50
Assorted Vegetables 50 x 1 = 50
Noodles 5 x 5 = 25
Sardines 5 x 5 = 85
Bigas 50 x 1 = 50
Total = 260 pesos per family
- Good for 5 days (We will provide you ideas/recipes that you could easily make to cook so you could also save up)
- Good for 3-4 pax (More people can eat these because they can add vegetables to canned goods unlike if only canned goods which is less nutritious, ready-to-eat, so only a handful could consume)
- Our goal is to be healthy and surviving and thriving!
- We could also help and support our local and backyard farmers if we will avail vegetables and meat from them
Monthly total = 2,340,000 (This is a cheaper alternative and more families would be able to survive)
We are also planning to give each family seedlings they could plant in a flowerpot/pot or their backyards. We can not predict when will this pass so for now, we have to stay creative and resourceful. Let us plant what we could sow and eat and make use of.
You could also donate pork, vegetables, medicines, seedlings, masks, milk, noodles, canned goods, and rice.
For those who would like to volunteer to repack and distribute, please send me a direct message.
I am extremely grateful for everyone's help and support for this project to soon materialize. Thanks for empowering and strengthening our fellow Filipinos in these trying times!
