I'm Lennard Arce 18 yrs. old from Davao Oriental, Philippines. I'm a consistent honor student of grade 12 and the eldest of the 4 siblings. I study at Banaybanay National High School. I helped my grand mother to sell "ice buko" in school. I'm an altar server for 8 years now. We live in a typical life with my family, just like others. Until one day, a tragedy came into our life.
Last December 31, 2018, my mother asked me to buy some firewood for cooking. On my way back home, a motorcycle rushed towards me whose driver was drunk and suddenly hit me. I fall unconsciously. Then the policemen rushed me to the nearest hospital in our town and when my parents arrived, the hospital refer us to a bigger one. The next day, when I woke up, I couldn't see because both of my eyes were swollen. The doctor said the frontal part of my skull was cracked and I must undergo immediate operation, but it needs a lot of money for the titanium plate to fix my face. My parents try their very best to cope up that certain amount for the operation. The doctor just gave us 3 days to raise the amount because I need to undergo the operation immediately before my face started to heal. Then, thank GOD the operation was successful. After a month the doctor sent us home and another month I'm back to school.
One day I caught my parents crying and I found out that our small business which is the source of our daily living was closed, and all was left are lots and lots of debts. It is because of my hospitalization it doesn't mean that they blame me but I felt guilty for the situation but I know that was an accident. I feel miserable of our situation even our daily consumption was affected already. My parents are doing everything to provide our daily need, but even our difficult times they are not stop serving our community. They said I can no longer continue my study in college because of the situation. I was so upset to hear the news. I really wanted to help them but I want to finished my studies. I want to become a teacher. I want to help the children to reach out their dreams too.`That's why I'm selling ice pop to school for my daily allowance and other school expenses. That's the only way that I can help them.
I sincerely come to you asking for any amount of support to be used for my tuition and allowances. I hope you can find it in your heart to allow me to take this once in a lifetime opportunity. I need every cent you can spare me so that I may follow my dreams. Any amount is appreciated.
Thank you so very much and God bless us all
