Laser Therapy for Buddy 🐱

It is finally time for me to start talking about Buddy

My name is Kazuko Tamamura. I am an animal rescuer, operating in Cebu. My animal welfare page is FOSTER FAMILY CAZCO.

I decided from the beginning that"I would never give up on this case."

Buddy underwent skin graft surgery last week and the operation was a success. Of course, the transplanted skin needs to function well from now on... There is no doubt that this is a ray of hope for Buddy and me.

I accepted Buddy's rescue from Ally 猫 on December 17, 2022. One reason was that I heard that everyone had given up on her wound treatments. As one kind-hearted foreign volunteer said to me, "I am so sorry. This wound will never heal. You just try. Good luck"

She had a large wound in a very difficult-to-heal area.She has several infections. For the past 4 months I have been cleaning this wound every day. Just constant cleaning over and over and over again.

I believe myself to be a patient type of person, but still these 4 months were tremendous for me.To be honest, I felt like I was losing my hope.

She had two surgeries in the last 4 months, but the wounds were still harts her.

I decided from the beginning that I would not give up on this case, but I really felt like my heart was about to break. That is why I could not update my page about Buddy.But today, I am able to report the progress to you all. Because there is BIG HOPE.

I will seriously look for a new home for Buddy after she is fully recovered. I know what a beautiful gem she is. I dream of where the family will find this gem.

Hi all, Buddy's skin graft failed because his immune system did not accept the grafted skin tissue. The organization began to rot, so all of it was taken away.

The total cost has exceeded 40,000 pesos. We have no choice but to work together to collect donations.

Today we will try to see if we can make a small Buddy's wound with a laser, The cost is severe, but we have no other options.

Buddy's laser therapy is now in its 3rd batch. The scars are getting smaller and smaller. I don't see any other way now. This laser therapy is the only way.

This laser therapy tends to make scars worse if stopped midway. So it has been my experience with the first batch that it should be treated properly until it heals. Depending on the results of this month's treatment, We will need to sign up for another 4 batches [6 sessions] next month. The medical expenses she needs are 10,000 pesos per month.

Buddy's laser therapy is now in its 22rd batch. The wound is almost healed.
But the expenses have reached almost 100, 000 pesos already.
