Land Waqaf for Outliers Girls College

Assalamualaikum / Good day!

Hi my name is Rusli, a volunteer Project Manager for Outliers Pakistan Gilgit-Baltistan foundation in Minawar Village, Gilgit, Pakistan. I'm a Quantity Surveyor by profession based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The foundation have volunteers around the globe who virtually and physically assisting on teaching in the Outliers Girls Secondary School (OLSS), coordinating and crowdfunding on projects and programs. I'm currently fundraising for Land purchase to build Outliers Girls College.

Join us in improving the lives of unprivileged girls in Minawar village, take their education to the next level!

School education for middle school girls in Minawar village opened in 2010 and it was a life changing opportunity for many of them where education for girls was not encouraged. From a modest start, we then upgraded it to a secondary school capability in 2016 with minimum operational facilities. Although as we have progressed to provide the girls with ability up to secondary education, but they can’t progress further to the next education level.

Education System in Pakistan:

●Level 1-5 : Early Primary

●Level 6-8 : Middle School

●Level 9-10 : Secondary Education

●Level 10-12 : College

●University

We are now hoping to open a self-sustainable College for the girls. Those who can’t afford will be sponsored through a donation adoption program. Below are planned phases to get the planned college up:

Phase 1: Purchase of land

Phase 2: Construction building

Phase 3: College operations

The college requires a minimum of 5-Kanal of land which equivalent to 27,250 square feet. Approximately USD $100,000 is needed.

We have created a 5 year plan to raise the money to make the Outliers Girls College an operational reality.

• Phase 1 August 2021 – June 2024. Fund drive will be for land, target USD 100K*, land price and administration and stamping charges inclusive
• Phase 2 July 2024 – June 2025. Fund drive will be for the construction building starting up at USD 150K*
• Phase 3 July 2025- June 2026. Fund drive will be for the school equipment and operational cost for one year expected to be USD 7-10K*

About OLSS

OLSS operated under an NGO called "Outliers". This NGO has been supporting the school operation along with some other friends time to time. Outlier is an American NGO, and was introduced to co-founders Mumtaz Alam and Raji Ahmad by our founder and chief donor Ms. Helen Nam from the USA.

All the students are from poor families, they barely afford to pay a little tuition fee , and even so, only covers 20-30% expenses, rest of all expenses are managed through donations. Over here the students are taught all science subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Islamic study, and social study. Our volunteer teachers teach them life skills to expose them to knowledge other than text books.
