On December 11 - Our Brother Emil Trinidad had a massive stroke which led to hypertensive bleeding in his brain. A clot found in the Thalamus of the brain caused the right part of his brain to be filled with blood — an operation was urgently done to drain the blood through a small sterile tube. Thank God for the successful operation. From a GCS 4 score pre-operation, he needs to get to at least 9 to assure recovery after 3 days. True enough after just 24 hours from the operation, with God’s grace and mercy, he became an 8, a 9, and moving up to a 10 but still not able to speak and move some parts of his body and the eyes are still a bit static.

We are so grateful and thankful for everyone’s visit, concern and love for Kuya Emil, but now comes the reality and challenge for the family:

Emil has been in the Neuro ICU of Asian Hospital for continuous monitoring and continuous draining of the blood from his brain and so far the Hospital expenses for just that overnight including the operation had already gone up to almost 500K Php.

With Kuya Emil having no medical card/insurance, it had been Papa Ramon - his father who is retired and living on pension who is spending whatever is left of his money and the two brothers Chito, Ramil and the rest of the family who have limited funds. (Not to mention that the family is still in the process of recovering from the burial and passing of their Mommy Emmie only 3 weeks back.) Predictably, the hospital bills will get to a million and we are humbly asking, begging and knocking on your kind and generous hearts to help us with any amount you can share for Kuya’s medical bills and expenses, as his stay in the Neuro ICU is still indefinite as of the moment.
