Kubo for Future : Support our Youth,, a better space a better future

During my recent visit to Boracay, I was fortunate to meet kids who, despite difficulties in their internet-based learning, are still striving to complete their education. Behind the beautiful island of Boracay, known as one of the best in the world, some communities are still struggling due to pandemic. Online classes are difficult since not everyone has the luxury of having an internet connection or a device to use. One day, I rose early to watch the sunrise, but was surprised to see a group of students waiting outside the resort, sitting on the sand and trying to connect to the resort's WI-FI, simply to ensure they were present in their online schools.

Bulabog is blessed to have the Levantin Resort, which voluntarily offers free WI-FI connection to these kids. But imagine the students trying to focus and finish their session while sitting in the sand, in the heat of the sun, and sometimes in the rain. I would build them a small house (Bahay Kubo, Shed), Kubo for Future if I had enough funds, but as a simple person, I am also struggling, which is why I created this page, to seek help and build the Shed for them, because we need the youth and to guide them to have a brighter future, and this Kubo of Future will be a symbol of their passion and our support for them.

Depending on the funds we will be able to collect, below will be our program;

1: To provide school supplies, umbrellas, and raincoats

2. We want to appreciate their great effort and enthusiasm by hosting them a Christmas party so they may enjoy even one day out of the entire year of hard work.

3.Our dream is to raise funds to build a shed -Kubo for Future - for them to have a pleasant area to study, with the cooperation of Levantin Resort, who is extremely supportive and has a big heart for these children.

4. If there is any funds left, we will bring clothes for communities. People had a difficult time surviving on a daily basis during the lockdown and closures; many did not even have adequate clothing. We'd want to expand our initiative to include fishermen, Bangkero, vendors, and others, and perhaps organize a special Christmas party for them if possible. (Fingers crossed.)

Let us encourage the youth and show them that we appreciate them and have their back.
