Kindergarten Teaching in Sigatoka

Hi Everyone,

As some of you may know, in September I will be heading off to Sigatoka in Fiji on a volunteers program. I am going over supported by International Volunteers HQ which is an organization who works to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged across the world.

In this program I will be volunteering in a kindergarten to provide support to the limited teachers there as well as education and care to the many children.

In my time in Sigatoka I will be responsible for:

• Working with 4 & 5 year olds who are in the beginning stages of their education.
• Providing creative, fun and informal lesson plans.
• Supporting the children to grow and gain confidence through education and activities.
• Helping the children learn basic English and build foundations for their future learning.
• Providing support to the overworked teachers in any way we can.
• Having a safe space for the children to learn in.

I am asking for donations to assist in covering my program fee to head over to Sigatoka with any additional funds being donated to the kindergarten in Sigatoka to purchase resources that the children need.

By donating to this you will be greatly supporting me in getting over to Sigatoka and allowing me to make a difference in supporting the teachers and children throughout my time there. This will make such a significant impact to the lives of the children and teachers.
