Killer Whale ID Catalogue.

Help us realize and publish a catalogue of the North Atlantic Killer Whales.

The North Atlantic Society is dedicated to raise awarenes about the whales in the North Atlantic, collecting and analyzing sightings of killer whales to learn more about the population, their social structure, behavior and habitat, to help provide them a save and healthy habitat. The North Atlantic Public Sightings Network encourage fishermen, ferryboat captains and mariners out at sea to report their sightings of killer whales.

To reach this goal and to facilitate the Public Sightings Network, we want to realize a Killer Whale ID Catalogue for the North Atlantic Killer Whale Populations. The purpose is publishing a book with the catalogue, authored by scientists, who studied the killer whale population for more then a decade. There are thousands of photos available which need to be catagorized and named. Besides the catalogue, with ID photos of each individual whale, the book also tells the reader about the natural history of the killer whale in the North Atlantic, it's social structure and geographical range. 

With this book, people are able to identify their own sightings and making an important tribute to science so we can learn more about this population.
