Kiki to Fiji

Hi there

I'm volunteering for three months at an orphanage in Nadi, Fiji. As you probably heard cyclone winston has distroyed varies parts of Fiji. I'm going over to give a hand with the children and general running of the orphanage.

I'm not very good with a drill :) so I've decided this is the best way for me to do what I can.

I will be doing cooking,cleaning, music, activities and whatever's expected of me at the orphanage as well as hopefully creating some laughter. I'm doing it through a nonprofit organisation INVOLVMENT VOLUNTEERS (very inspiring people) which means I'll be staying with a Fijian family (home stay) so all my money for rent, food ect will be going back into the community.

It costs about 2,000 all up to be there for three months. That includes all my rent,food, transport and keeps me there working 8.30-4 five days a week which I think is extremely reasonably. I raised $1591 at a music (gig) fundraiser at The Beerfarm (a brewery near where I live) with the help and generosity from all involved was moving the list of amazing people is long so please check out Kiki to Fiji Facebook page, not to mention the donations received on the night much appreciated. I am paying for flights and spending money of course, so any donation big or small is greatly appreciated. I have raised the money to keep me there (which is fantastic) but would love to have more to buy keyboards, art supplies and any other essentials to inspire fun and learning. I will know more of what basics/essentials are needed when I get there Nadi ask the other volunteers, Fijian people and of course the kids.
