Kidney Transplant and Medication Expenses for our Nanay

Early last year, my 69-year old mom was diagnosed with Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease. She is currently undergoing dialysis treatment, takes more than 10 tablets/capsules of prescription per day, and has to get injection for hemoglobin production thrice a week. Despite all these, we were strongly advised by the doctor to consider kidney transplant as the dialysis treatment doesn't mean that it will prevent her kidney from further deterioration. As of now, her kidney function is down to only 7%. Although I and some of my siblings are working, we do not have enough fund to provide for her kidney transplant, which according to the doctor would amount to 2M - 2.5M pesos (roughly around USD 50,000). Aside from her daily medical and basic needs, she was confined in the hospital several times since last year, and also had to undergo vascular surgery, which essentially had us financially drained.

My father has already passed away, so she only has us, her children, to depend on. My mom is a lively woman who grew up poor and had to endure a lot just to feed us and send us all to school. She loves cooking, attending gatherings, visiting friends and chatting with them - all of which she can no longer do because of her current medical condition. She'll be turning 70 this year and it would be the greatest birthday gift for her to know that there is hope she'll be able to eat the food she loves again, travel on her own to visit friends and family, and just enjoy life without the worries and pain from her kidney disease, just as she greatly deserves after all her sacrifices.
