During October we usually hold the Pink Ribbon golf Competition for Breast Cancer Awareness with donations going to; The Associação Oncológica do Algarve
Organising charity golf days during 2020 was all but impossible, but money still needs to be raised, so we have decided to do something a bit crazy, for the crazy times we are currently living in and to continue to support the people of the Algarve where we live and enjoy our life in Portugal,
We aim to raise at over €1,000, with Kelvin’s Pink Walk ……….
My husband Kelvin has offered to walk from Faro Airport back home to our house in Luz, which is a distance just short of 100 kilometres. Not only is that Kelvin’s challenge, but also, he intends to complete the task within a 24hour period.
Kelvin plans to start the walk on Monday March 29th 2021 and sleep in his own bed that same night, I know crazy……right now, he is out of breath walking up the stairs, so this will also give him time to start training.
We have opened a fundraising page; https://gogetfunding.com/kelvins-walk/ and hope that you will continue to support our quest as you have done over the past 20 plus years that we have been raising money for; The Associação Oncológica do Algarve
By pledging through the gogetfunding website, it makes things simple, as all money that has been donated is easily transferable to; The Associação Oncológica do Algarve
Thank you for your support over the years, please help me get Kelvin on the road in his 70th year and reduce his expanding waistline while raising money for a vital and worthwhile cause.
Best wishes and stay Safe
