Many years ago I moved myself from far north Queensland to Victoria with a 4 month old, an 18 month old and a 2.5 year old. We arrived with nothing and were blessed to encounter an immensely helpful sales representative who enabled us to rent a washer, dryer and fridge for $15 a week total, those being the "out the back of the shed" models that they couldn't rent out any more. Well that was 3.5 years ago and today that same washing machine died a monumental death, beeping incessantly until I lifted its lid to witness the watery grave that was the inside of the machine. After about 4 hours I managed to drain it, however the washing machine is dead. I told my kids I killed it. My 5 year old rightly told me "Mum, it killed itself." Well, technically it did, but my word it served us well over the years. Whilst pregnant with, and raising, my little ones, I studied tirelessly after they had gone to sleep such that I would be able to set us up for the future. I am rapt to have done so, however as I have only recently started working in this field I am still on junior wages. So now, as a part-time working single parent to three mini folks and with very little other support I am hoping that there will be people out there who are good enough to help me replace my washing machine so that I don't have to resort to lugging the monumental number of loads of washing I have each week with a 6, 5 and 4 year old down to the laundromat or a friend's house. I hope to be able to get an 8kg machine, and the target amount also includes the estimated delivery charge. Any assistance at all would be most gratefully received. Thanks to all in advance.
