Help Shakie

Shakie, a 4-months-old baby from Uganda, needs urgent surgery. She is born with cleft lip and cleft palate. Because of her condition Shakie has difficulties eating or drinking. Her doctor said that she is in severe pain when she drinks/eats.

I can only imagine how a mother feels when she can't help her baby. To eat! Her single mother is desperate. They live in poverty and cannot afford food or clothes let alone operation.

This is a story that shook me up so much, I decided to go for it and try to fund this operation. 600 EUR is needed. If possible, please help and donate or share. I found out about Shakie via NGO called Branch of hope Africa, but I will send the money directly to her family.

pred kratkim se me je dotaknila usoda štirimesečne dojenčice Shakie iz Ugande, ki se je rodila s hudo razklano zgornjo čeljustjo in ne more jesti oz. piti. Njen zdravnik pravi, da postaja požiranje vse bolj in bolj boleče ... Predstavljam si, v kakšni stiski mora biti mama, ki ne more pomagati otroku, da bi jedel. Jedel! Živita sami. Brez sredstev za hrano in oblačila. Kaj šele za operacijo.

Še nikoli me ni zgodba nekoga drugega tako pretresla, zato pišem. Za operacijo deklice potrebujemo 600 EUR. Deklico sem spoznala preko NGO-ja Branch of hope Africa, vendar bom denar poslala direktno njeni družini. Če je le možno, prosim, pomagajte in donirajte oziroma delite naprej.
