Campaign Story
KAMI NA PO MUNA LOLA.

A couple of years ago, during my leadership training journey, I visited The Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly. We did some fun activities with the grandmothers who lived there - we sang together, laughed together, and genuinely just spent time with them. I'll always remember how happy they looked, and how heavy my heart felt.
As time flew by during my stay with them, I began to imagine my own grandmother in their situation. The very people who helped raise us when we were weak, were abandoned in their time of need.
Heartbreaking as it is, The Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly houses many elderly people who are left to fend for themselves. The organization runs mostly from donations – food, medication, living costs, everything.
For Christmas this year, I would like to invite you to extend a helping hand. To give love to the Lola’s who long for it the most. To help them get back up, when life has dealt them a horrible hand. Our financial contribution will help them with food, medicine, clothing, and everything else. So I hope you’ll join me in this journey.
Lola, kAmi na PO muna.
Special thanks to Sister Isabel Pereira of The Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly San Juan City for allowing me to do this and to Miss Louise for allowing me to use her photo (sadly I don't have my own pictures during that time because we're not allowed to take photos as per activity rules. But I will always be grateful for the experience :) ). To learn more about The Little Sisters, you may reach them via (02) 721 1143.
