JUNIOR SPORTS TEAM Season 2024

We motivate children from our community to get physically active and give them access to sports equipment, training facilities, and professional trainers.

Junior Sports Team Thailand is a non-profit initiative supporting underprivileged children in the South of Thailand. Every year, we train students from Krabi / Thailand. This season, our goal is to train 12 students to become competent open-water swimmers and 12 students to become endurance runners.

For each of the 24 students (12 swimmers and 12 runners), we need THB 5,500 (EUR/CHF150): For the swimmers, we provide swimming goggles, caps, swim shorts/suites, safety equipment, and a team shirt. For the running team, we provide running shoes, running shorts, a team shirt, and an entry fee for a running event. After each training (2 x week for 6 months), we also provide a small and healthy snack before the children go back to school. Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort will, for free, provide the required facilities (e.g. pools, gym), logistics (transfers to/from training), swimming, and running coaches.

Per season, we accumulate over 1,000 volunteer hours and none of our volunteers receive any compensation. Overhead expenses for fundraising, website, admin, and marketing are kept under 3%.
