These past few days have been full of challenges, realizations, and a lot to be thankful for.

It was July 10th, the day that I will never forget. My dad suffered from stroke and I needed to rush him to the hospital. At that time, I knew I had to be strong and focused. The doctors, nurses, and all ER staff were very helpful. They assisted us and made sure my dad was okay. My dad underwent a lot of lab tests, ct scan, xray, and other procedures that I never thought he would experience at the age of 56. He was then diagnosed to have heart enlargement and blood clot on his brain due to high BP. He was given medication and checks were done from time to time to make sure he does not sleep. I stayed beside him all the time but I would go outside the ER to make phone calls and update my family. From ER, he was transferred to the ICU that night and all I could do was stare from the outside door while waiting for updates from the doctor. I felt helpless. I have never been that scared. The next morning, I was advised that he's doing a lot better so I felt a little relieved until I was told that part of the hospital's protocol is to perform swab tests on patients to ensure the safety of everyone. I was also able to speak with his Neuro Surgeon and he told me that my dad has to undergo another cranial ct scan to check the blood clot's progression. He said that if the blood clot does not get bigger, there is a chance that an operation will not be needed anymore. I just said, please do everything for my dad. Fast forward to July 15th, Wednesday, we received the best news! My dad tested negative for Covid and he's showing improvements everyday. All I could do that time was thank God for everything.

God is so good that he made sure that angels were there to support us. To my friends and family, especially to my sister who was with my dad until he got the swab test results, I couldn't thank you enough. Your prayers and support are so much appreciated.

Today, I got to visit my dad. He's always been a fighter and this has been his greatest battle so far. He may not have fully recovered yet, but I am sure that he is getting there. If you are ever reading this post, I humbly ask you to include him in your prayers, that he may get well the soonest. Thank you very much. We are praying and hoping that he will be discharged this weekend.

I also want to take this opportunity to knock on your hearts, and ask if you can extend some help to our family. Our current hospital bill is at ₱167,000 excluding doctors' fees, after a couple of partial payments. I didn't know that it would come to this but the saying is true, you would really do everything for your family. Our family will appreciate any amount that you can spare. From the bottom of hearts, we thank you.
