Jerome’s Bone Marrow Transplant Financial assistance

Greetings in the name of the lord!

We are writing this letter with extreme desperation for your help. Our son Jerome Villano Agudo has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) and he needs treatment as soon as possible. Jerome needs a Bone Marrow transplant that requires a huge amount for the transplant to be done in July 2019 (date to be confirmed) after one last chemo at St Luke’s Medical Centre in Metro Manila, Philippines. We are unable to cover for his treatment expenditure and we are humbly asking for your financial support to save his life. Our 14 year old young Jerome is such a caring, loving, kind and smart young teenager boy. And now, we have no choice but to turn to you with the heavy request of saving our son’s life.

Below Jerome’s medical history:

Jerome has been sick for a while and was admitted to hospital in November 22, 2017 at James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital Olongapo City, Philippines for low blood count, his blood cells and platelets were abnormally low and needed to have a platelet transfusion. Doctor says it is likely to be Leukemia and so requested us to take a blood sample to St Luke’s Medical Centre in Quezon City, Manila to repeat blood tests to make sure the blood counts were not wrong. Dr Arevalo’s confirmation to the blood test was abnormal, the phenotype is consistent with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (79.5% of the gated events).

December 1 2017 PCMC specialists and staff along with our family members had met up and discussed about Jerome’s case. Doctors and Specialists explained the procedures and treatments (AML Treatment Protocol) that needs to be done for Jerome. The procedures took six months which is started in December 11, 2017 until July 15, 2018.

December 5, 2018 received a SMS (messages) from PCMC which surprised and made us so happy that Jerome has been included on the list of graduates (cancer survivors) that was held and done at the same hospital last December 17, 2018. Jerome’s last laboratory results showed that the flow cytometric findings are compatible with a Relapsed Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML), then again we are shocked and devastated that Jerome still very sick. We are hopeless and nothing to sell to augment the needs of platelet and blood transfusion almost every week. We want to save our son’s life.
