Jaya Uppin Tarihal Breast Cancer Fundraiser

I am Mrs. Jayalaxmi S Tarihal, a resident of Belagavi in Karnataka, India. 53 years of age, I am a retired school teacher and have been widowed on September 2013. In the month of Dec.13th, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was operated upon at M/s. Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital Mumbai, India. I began chemotherapy. On Dec.14, 2015, I was diagnosed with lesions in my brain. I have had intensive radiation treatment followed by chemotherapy. The medicines are very expensive and are now beyond my means of affordability. My husband’s family is not financially able to support me. My mother, sisters and brother have supported me both emotionally and financially till this day. During my visit for my checkup to M/s. Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital on Dec 2, 2015, I have been advised by the doctors to start taking injections for 6 cycles which cost INR 250000-00 per injection. I need INR 15,00,000-00 to complete the 6 cycle course. Further medication shall be supplied to me free of cost by the drug manufacturing company. My Tata hospital case no is CK-30679. My injections will begin on Jan 16th, 2016.
Unfortunately, I do not have the means to arrange for the funds and desperately seeking your help to stay alive and give back to the society in whatever form I can. I have exhausted all my savings and that of my late husband. My father-in-law is 90 years of age is helpless at this age. I do not have children to support me. My mother, sisters and my brother are still supporting me in whatever way possible. But the finances are a big burden. It appears that these injections are now my lifeline. Your contributions shall help me live a better life with dignity. Therefore I plead for my life to you my brothers and sisters. God be with you always.
