Jane and Christie’s Legal Aid

Jane & Christie are both citizens in Ghana. They are both facing human right abuses of the same kind, Stigmatization. The are being stigmatized because they are perceived to be living with HIV. Stigmatization of people living with HIV, though outlawed in Ghana, the law has not been tested yet in court of competent jurisdiction. To carry a tag of living with HIV in most parts of Ghana is a grave situation. In this instance Jane and Christie risk being ostracised from their communities, loosing patronage of their business, eviction from their rented apartment and others. They have decided to fight for their rights at the Human Rights High Court, with the backing of Well-Live Ghana, a Non-Profit Organization in Ghana. Your donations will help sustain their legal representation in court by way of fees, the necessary filings as well as transportation cost of witnesses to court until judgement is delivered by the court. Let us help fight for the human rights of our two sisters as this will serve as deterrents to others who may want to trample on the rights of others. Our assistance of these two vulnerable sisters today is a preventive measure against the abuse of own rights tomorrow.
