Bayanihan 4 COVID-19 PH FRONTLINERS

Dear friends,

My sister and brother-in-law are both doctors and they have four beautiful kids - 2 girls ( 12 and 6 yrs old) and 2 boys ( 2 and 1 year old). Like all our friends, their friends, and colleagues, they have kids, siblings and parents who wait for them at home anxiously. Each day, we expect them to go home and stay safe like the rest of us. They said, " it’s hard, kung pwede lang sana." But they have responsibility, an oath to uphold. They can't hide in the comforts of their own home and let patients suffer and die unattended.

For several days now, and in fact, even before the Community Quarantine, Metro Manila wide lockdown, they have been deprived of protective gear. Some were forced to shell out money from their own pockets to buy overpriced face masks, gloves, alcohol, etc. Many of them have to donate their own supplies to their staff due to shortage. So, aside from sacrificing their time to be with their families, their lives are also at risk, every minute, every hour and every day.

After days of posting and sending unanswered messages to some donors to allocate some PPE to our doctors and staff working in often neglected small city hospitals around Metro Manila (with no government or private funds allocated for upgrading facilities including protective gears and supplies) , we decided to reach out to all of you directly. We cannot allow our frontliners to die, we need them to fight COVID-19 (Corona Virus) and save precious lives. But they need our help. Let us lend them a helping hand.

This fund campaign is dedicated to our Frontliners out there. We have to make sure they are protected, that they can go back to their kids, to their family safe and alive at the end of the day. Moreover, we want them strong enough to go back the following day and fight COVID-19 for us.
