JUM is an exemplary seat of learning where modern subjects such as computers, English Sciences and Social sciences are taught at standards at par with those of the Central board of Secondary Education of India. In parallel, students are also taught quran (with tajweed, qirat etc), theology, Islamic history etc.

This concept is still not widely adopted by other Islamic schools of India. It is therefore important that institutes as JUM should be supported so that they can progress, motivating other institutes to follow.

JUM alumni have excelled in Islamic spheres as well as jobs requiring contemporary skills. JUM management runs a similar school for girls (JameTus-Saalehat) in a different and much bigger campus with hostel facilities. The girls’ school has students from all over India as well as some foreign students.

Currently the boys’ school is in a smaller campus and in middle of city. For any expansion, it is necessary to move the school to a bigger premise.  A suitable plot of land – which shall meet the present need and future expansion aspirations, has been short-listed by the management for this purpose (keeping the cost constraint in mind).  However, given the recent rapid rise in property prices all over India, even the most economical option is costing about Seventy Five Lakh Indian rupees( i.e. 7,500,000 Indian rupees) or circa GBP 93K. I am planning to raise at least £5000 from my contacts in the UK.

No contribution is too small. Please try to help the cause to the best of your capabilities.
