A closed fundraising page for friends and family who have helped us to support Jack to go on his class TY trip and who would like to support his continued education and Music and Drama training. We are setting up this fundraising page at the request of our son, Jack. His school has arranged a trip to Poland, specifically to witness and learn about the history of the Krakow Jewish District. . It is a trip he is eager to participate in, not only because of his interest in travel but also, his interest in History.
We are now recovering from another set back, with Liam's health, and the financial toll it has created. Jack has been a great support to us , these past six years of his dad's illness. If you feel you would like to help us fundraise by making a donation, we would be very grateful!
Jack has landed with his TY class In Poland. Today he will visit Auschwitz Camp and the Schindler Factory. A very sobering, but hugely significant experience for these young students to witness and understand how the past influences the present.
Over the next few days, they will sight see around the country side, enjoy a water park experience and hike through the underground salt caves.
Thank you all who helped make this a reality for him.!
We are continuing to fundraise, so Jack may continue with his education in his current boarding school and extracurriculars in Music and Drama. He just appeared in the schools drama production of @ As You Like It', he sings in the choir, and is starting violin and to play in the orchestra. We are again as a family, going through a stressful time financially and emotionally due to the effects of Liam's illness. . The gift of a donation will support our efforts to make sure our boys have every opportunity to fulfil their potential and to grow into adult who contribute positively to their community and our society.

Transition Year is a year in Irish Secondary School that is about the transition from adolescence to adulthood. The focus is on experiential learning through work experience ( working in different career areas, on site), group projects and travel. It is a large expense, and travel is optional, however, we hope Jack may get the best benefit form his TY as possible! We are proud of Jack, he has already played the lead in the school musical, won the Bishop Chapel Choir Prize for Choir, the been the youngest member to be accepted into the Chamber Choir usually only open to 5th and 6th year students (he was invited to join in his second year) and he continues to do well academically and was awarded the Richards Form Prize for academic excellence on his 2nd year term exams. He has done this, as well as being very supportive to us during his dad's recovery. He is well mannered and kind. He loves to sleep too late into the mornings...:)
Thank you for supporting his dreams, and for all of your friendships through out the years!! I will keep you updated.
Thank you so much for those who have helped us raise the deposit to hold a place for Jack on the trip. The next payment will be in 30 days, so if anyone would like to help us, we are finding Paypal most convenient between currencies. Thank you !! :) :)
We are continuing to fundraise so that Jack might travel with his class to Poland, as well as continue studying Music and Drama during the next school year.
