IVHQ-Volunteering in Bali-Elementary School Teaching Program

Hello everyone!

I am a college student in Istanbul, Turkey. On July, I am planning to do a volunteer project in cooperation with International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) who aims to create a difference in lives of those who are living in developing countries across the world. I will teach English to elementary school kids in Bali-Ubud for 3 weeks.

I believe the value of your own life is determined by how much you add value to other lives. As most of us, I consider myself lucky in terms of economic and social status, and willing to share this luck with children who are, unfortunately, in need of it. I love spending time with children and seeing the world from their perspective. I believe children teach you more about life than you can teach them and the bond you create with children is irreplaceable.

At the end of the third week, my hope is to have lots of new little Indonesian friends, and have a chance to see their improvement in English language skills. Helping them to discover their potential is the most valuable accomplishment I can get. This would make me extremely grateful.
