Itamar Ethan, our dear 20 year son and brother (in law) had to leave this physical world and go on with his journey

We discovered he had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia around Thanksgiving 2018 and to our sadness it took only 6 weeks for the disease to take over and Itamar passed on.

Itamar is so dearly missed.

He brought fun and laughter to our lives and was a great listener. We love him so much.

It's unbelievable, but his second memorial date is already coming up on the 24th of December 2020.

I am now living in Israel, following a dream Itamar knew I had since I was a teenager. I always asked him to bring me to Israel,and if my health not allow me to do so myself, bring me specifically to Beth Juliana, a Dutch nursing home in Herzeliya, an amazing place for Dutch and all people of age, including an Alzheimers and Dementia department.

Today, I am working in Beth Juliana.

Itamar kept his promise. In a different format then we expected, but just like he was.

A man of his word.

In memory of Itamar, I would like to donate a Musical Garden Instrument to Beth Juliana, because Itamar loved music and this would be a beautiful tribute to him and Beth Juliana together.

איתמר איתן, בננו וגיסנו האהוב הלך לעולמו והמשיך במסע שלו הלאה.

בסביבות נובמבר 2018 גילינו שהוא חלה בלוקמיה לימפובלסטית חריפה,

ולצערנו הרבה לאחר 6 שבועות המחלה גברה עליו ואיתמר נפטר.

איתמר כל כך חסר לנו

..הוא היה בן אדם קשוב ומביא צחוק וכיף לחיי הסובבים אותו. ואנו אוהבים אותו כל כך

זה קשה לתפיסה, שתאריך האזכרה השנייה קרב ובא ויתקיים 24-12-2020

עליתי לארץ לפני שנה וחצי וכיום חיה את החלום שבו שיתפתי את איתמר כל השנים.

סיכמתי עם איתמר שכאשר אזדקן הוא ידאג להעלות אותי לארץ כדי להיכנס לגור בבית יוליאנה בהרצליה.

בית יוליאנה בית אבות הולנדי השוכן בהרצליה, מקום מדהים לכל גמלאי באשר הוא, הולנדים וישראלים כאחד, בנוסף לטיפול המסור של מחלקת הדמנציה ואלצהיימר.

כיום אני עובדת בבית יוליאנה

איתמר קיים את הבטחתו, בצורה שונה ממה שהוא ציפה לו - אך בדיוק בצורה שבו חיי את חייו,
בתור איש שעומד במילתו.

לכבוד זכרונו של איתמר, ברצוני לתרום כלי נגינה גינתי לבית יוליאנה,

מכיוון שאיתמר אהב מוזיקה וזו תהיה מחווה יפהפייה לכבודו ולכבוד בית יוליאנה.
