ISKCON has been incorporated in Dublin since 1980, at first starting at Belvedere street then moved to Abbey Street. Our Temple in Abbey Street is open to the public 365 days a year for either private Darshan (worship) or public programs.
For 52 weeks of the year, every Sunday, we have our regular Sunday love feast which has become an essential element in the spiritual well-being of all our members. It is our main weekly event and often brings up to a hundred people to Krishna's Temple. The Tuesday night Kirtan often attracts more than 40 souls and has also become an integral part in the spiritual life of so many.
Having been restricted to date to temporary leases, small halls and inappropriate locations, we now feel it is time to facilitate our community with a custom built centre and temple which will fulfill the social, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of our growing community. Similar to the temples close to us like Bhaktivendanta Manor, Inis Rath we are looking to buy a piece of land in the Fingal Area to build our own temple with a place of worship and to enhance our spiritual life. We have various plans such as the Sunday School, Yoga Classes, Cookery Classes, Wedding Ceremony Services, Farming, Cow Protection and many more.
For our project to be successful we will need the help of devotees and friends to contribute as much as you can towards the Temple Fund. So far we collected €15819 thanks to the help of devotees, please spread the word and help us in any way you can to have a new community where we can practice Krishna Conciousness with a simple living and higher thinking.
