My name is Mohd. Affifudden bin Abdul Sini. I am still studying at a local university in Malaysia and I am a dedicated cyclist. I started cycling at age of 20, and started racing at age of 21.
I bought all my cycling equipment using my own pocket money from my parents (around $130 per month), which is not much. I survived every month of my 4 years of studying by just spend $30-$35 per month, while the remaining of it I spent on my road bike (I know its wrong but my passion in cycling is just too much :D ). I also did a part-time job for about 6-7 months, just to buy a pair of second-hand carbon wheelset.
Then, exactly a year ago (23rd June 2018), I involved in an accident with a motorcycle during a 'Team Time Trial' training with SUKMA Sarawak riders. The motorcyclist was against the traffic flow. We did warned the lady by shouting at her. She did aware of us at that time but she did not hit the brake. Hence, me being the 1st rider at the front hit the motorcycle at 50km/h before spinning in the air and hit the tarmac.
Fortunately, no bones were broken at that time. However, my road bike was not as lucky as me. My precious road bike that I have been upgrading bit by bit for 3 years, was gone just like that. To make matter worst, the offender did not pay a dime to me as a compensation. She did not even say sorry! I did lodge a police report later in that evening. Unfortunately, no police actions were taken to this date (23rd June 2019).
Currently, I still did not have a road bike to train/race with. I love cycling, and I love racing even more. For 1 year, I have been helpless and I do not know where to get help, until I found this Go Get Funding page. Hopefully, there is still kind-hearted people out there who willing to help me get back on tarmac.
