Greetings! Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to show my gratitude to everyone for taking the time to check out this page.

The Basics:

Every good thing comes to an end and so is my fruitful and enriching five months (01.02.2014 - 30.06.2014) Internship program here in India. The program is expected to be finishing by the end of June 2014 and I look forward to going back home in Romania. Having rised funds through gogetfunding.com that enabled me to come to India for the internship program, I trust that I will obtain funds for my return back home. Initially, I stated a sum of 800$ on this webite and was fortunate to raise 500$ but it was only enough for the costs of visa and one way plane ticket. I was also charged for the commission tax for GoGetFunding/PayPal transfer and currency conversions into my account hence making it a much lesser amount than what was shown on the GoGetFunding.com website. As a result, the the initial target was not achieved.
Now, I need to raise around $700 by the end of June to fund my travel cost (flights, train, buses) back home to Romania and then to Switzerland. On the 12th of July, I will be going to Caux, Switzerland where the organisation (Initiatives of Change International) is based. I will be working as a volunteer in the technical department. So the sum will enabled go to Caux as well.

The Bigger Story Behind:
Few words about my host organisations and they're work on the field:

Friends of Moral Re-Armament (India) is an autonomous body conducting training programs for various sectors of society including in-service training for Indian Army, Educators, Students, Families, Children, Business and Industry,Indian Railways and IPS officers etc. The core focus of all training programmes, workshops, dialogues etc. held at Asia Plateau (Panchgani, in the hills of western India) to equip participants with universal values and character, to give ethical leadership in transforming family life and social environment, thereby help all round development. During the period of my internship, I have been participating in the programmes held at Asia Plateau. It also helps interns/volunteers like me to learn about team building, leadership, good governance, community building, conflict resolution as well as personal moral, spiritual and ethical growth in a secular setting. Asia Plateau is owned by Friends of Moral Re-Armament (India), an Educational Charitable Public Trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. Its main objects are advancement and propagation of education and learning in India with particular reference to the development of character by the application of the highest ethical and moral standards. The Trust is governed by eminent Trustees including Shri Rajmohan Gandhi (nephew of Mahatma Gandhi), who is a Founding Trustee. The Trust is also a founding member of “Initiatives of Change, International”.We envision a peaceful, prosperous, just and sustainable world for all.The core focus of all training programmes, workshops, dialogues etc. held at Asia Plateau is to equip participants with universal values and character, to give ethical leadership in transforming family life and social environment, thereby help all round development. The Centre has attracted participants and trainees from all over the country and beyond. Initiatives of Change International is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. We envision a peaceful, prosperous, just and sustainable world for all. Anyone, anywhere, can start an initiative of change by applying the words of Mahatma Gandhi: ''Be the change you want to see in the world.'' If you want to see an end to corruption, start by being scrupulously honest yourself. If you want to see peace in the world, start within your own family. If you care about the environment, start looking at your own patterns of consumption and waste. I will not receive any remuneration or compensation nor will required to pay for the participation in the 5 months internship.

My bio:

My name is Vlad Movila, 27y from Romania/Eastern Europe. I studied Geography from University of Bucharest, I worked as a wine taster in a wine company for few years this assited me in sustaining myself and my studies. I also lived and worked in Poland/Italy/Russia/Estonia/Switzerland and now India. Having had this enriching internship program, I found a great insight and developed  a passion for international development and human rights. In the recent years, I was a true volunteer and had work experiences in various comunities and NGOs. I hope also with the help of this internship and latter on with a Master Degree in Human Rights to continue with a career in International NGO's (non-governmental organisations) as aid/humanitarian worker.
I must admit that this internship program in India has really improved personal development, skills enhancement, employability, Increasing the cultural, social and political understanding.
