intercultural Service by Engineering Community, Universiti Tekonologi PETRONAS

The Engineering Service Community is the creative education design including a challenge for students to create an innovative and useful invention for a community in rural areas of Indonesia. This is an annual program since 2014, dedicated for the local community in a remote area.

In the program, students will be matched with students of Telkom University as the engineering service community team of the year and will then be divided into smaller groups. Each group will take the challenge to visit the location downtown to get immersed with the locals and discover their problems. Based on their discovery, students will solve the local problem by deriving a new idea by designing the product up to making it and writing the product description. As a result, each group will present and demonstrate their innovative product to the local community. In addition, students will also grasp the chance for sight-seeing the capital city of Asia-Africa, Bandung city.

This fundraisng campaign is done to help fund the travelling cost of the students from University Tekonologi PETRONAS and to cover the fees in joining this international event. This event is non-profitable whereby all funds are directly used for the benefit of the event only.
