Inner Walk helps support the Burmese refugees

Koh Phangan has a large Burmese community who have come to Thailand over the years to find work and support their families back home. In February 2021 the situation in Burma drastically changed when a military coup took place, inciting a civil war, and leading to over 2,000 deaths of protestors and over 700,000 displaced persons.

Wonderland and Inner Walk have lived and worked closely over the years with the Burmese community on Koh Phangan, and we strive to continue to support our friends in helping their families. We invite you to join us by donating to this direct fundraising campaign, co-created with the local Burmese community, to ensure that every last baht raised will go directly to the friends and family members of the Burmese community back home.

While the Burmese refugees will receive essential support in dealing with an impossible situation, every person who donates will participate in the Buddhist practice of dāna – heart expanding generosity.
