Injury Benefits for my Broken Ankle

I was injured last July 14, 2020, my Right Ankle was Broken while working inside of the Company, I fall in about 4 meters high while I put goods items on the shelves in LASCO Supermarket here in Zejtun, I am Assistant Storekeeper, and I've been Surgeon 2 times on my Right Ankle, 1st July 15, 2020, just installed a Pattern or put some metal frame just to give support my Right foot and make the swelling a bit disappear and 2nd were on July 23, 2020, just to fix my Right Ankle and they installed 3 metal plates on it. My concern why I came here to ask for help it's just I didn't know the Law of Malta in terms of Injury Benefits. I received Fully Wages from my Company as an Injury Leave Salary and the Government which the Social Security sending me some money as well amounting to 125 euro per week Starting Last August 2020 except holidays and the Last Payment I get last month of March. Now the problem that I've been encountered is the Company demanding to give back the all entire Injury Benefits that I received from Social Security to them which I didn't realize or know about the Law of Malta that if you Received Fully Injury Wages from the Company you have to give it back the Injury Benefits that you get from the Social Security. I am willing to give back all, but the Problem is I don't have the capability to pay that huge amount it may cost more or less 5000 euro. Until now I am suffering pain in my Right Ankle, I can't able to walk properly, and still, I am taking medicines just to Relieve the Pain. And also my Father is still sick. He got a stroke 3 times and I am also the one who supports Him to buy His medicines. I begging you to help me with this because my Previous Company where I work they threatened me to put it into the Legal process and if that happens I will Pay it in double.
