Inclusive Fashion Brand that empowers Women Enterpreneurs around the world

Esstee fashion came about as a dream to “Empower women entrepreneurs around the world". We strive to source our products which are ethically produced. I am passionate saving the planet. Nothing makes me happier than knowing that our dresses are gentle on the environment and providing an income for those in need.

I have always wanted to be a part of the solution to some of the seemingly daunting environmental problems and contributing to save the planet .The idea came up to me a year ago, I have no design degree but a passion and humanitarian drive to help and empower women around the world.

Born and raised in Africa I can completely relate to the challenges these women face on a day to day life.

Why Now?

I lost my corporate job and have looked at this as a "one door closes the other opens" .

For the last 1 year, I have been self-financing this project from my income .I was not prepared to be retrenched and do not want to give up on this project . I would like to dedicate my time to continue empowering the women entrepreneur, single parents and stay at home mums not only in developing world but around the world .

In terms of inclusiveness , I would like to have people of various background from Africa , Europe , Middle East and Asia. This I have tried via the models that have been in my previous collection.

The world has shrunk in terms of flying to different destinations. My designs are meant to be fun and comfortable for the regular traveller regardless of shape or size .Sizes range from Petite to One size to embrace women of different Body Shapes and Sizes.

How am I currently operating ?

As I have been employed on a regular income in Dubai , I regularly travel to India ,Indonesia ,Kenya to meet women who can still smile even when they are in dire situations.These women are exploited by middle men and hence get very low salaries for a tremendous job that they do. My main objective is to remove the middle men and provide opportunities directly to these.

Having said that it does not mean that the production is 100% women , along the way we do have men working for the pieces however they play a minor role.

The collection displayed here is last seasons and only upon receiving the funds can I start on the new one.

When observing closely you will notice how I range the products from white to colorful .This is what I call "East meets West" and hence diversity .Tastes vary from one region to the other and hence the collection goes from silent to bold in colors.

What will we do with the funds raised?

Our immediate priority will be to Design the print ,Source the fabric ,Prepare to dye ,Get the samples , Organise for a photoshoot ,send our portfolio and look book to fashion trade show (UK ,Paris and/or US).

Should we collect more, It will be another revenue stream for the business, which will allow us to expand. Hopefully, this will mean we can now get a registered office and move to a design studio.

Am looking beyond opening branches in other parts of the world.I also Plan to sell the collection through selected boutiques and luxury department stores around the world.

Risks and challenges

Solopreneur: I solely coordinate and facilitate the whole process and hence work round the clock to ensure timely delivery of the project .Hopefully in future I will be able to get enough funds to employ someone to help.

Time : Production time and shipping dates will also be dependent on the project funding and availability of the women labour force.

Volume: For production to be cost effective , I need to produce volumes .This will be dependent on Backers funding.
